Specialist, Scientist, Perfectionist
Originally from Taiwan, Dr. Wei has resided in the San Francisco bay area since she moved to the United States. After practicing general dentistry in hospital and private practice settings, she continued her advanced dental education at the University of California San Francisco. She was honored to graduate at the top of her class – Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received multiple academic and clinical awards. After graduation, she continued her specialty education by completing a three-year Postgraduate Prosthodontic Program at UCSF. The program focused on advanced training in complex dental cases, such as comprehensive implant and restorative reconstruction.
In 2009, Dr. Wei was privileged to receive an invitation to join the faculty at UCSF School of Dentistry where she is currently supervising clinical patient care and conducting classes in prosthodontics. As a full-time teacher and practitioner, Dr. Wei remains devoted to her professional education, frequently participating in professional seminars to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Wei is continuing to pursue research projects in dental science and advanced prosthodontics.
Dr. Wei brings her passion for excellence to her private practice of prosthodontics. Her background in the execution of meticulous laboratory procedures has been invaluable in enhancing her ability to meet the most daunting aesthetic challenges. Whether involved with traditional gold work, or the new age of high tech metals and porcelains, her understanding of the intersection between laboratory procedures and clinical treatments is key to the uncompromising results that Dr. Wei pursues for those in her care.
